Book condition explained
Excellent - This is a book that, although purchased used, looks brand new.
Very Good - This is a book that looks almost brand new but may have one flaw with it such as: a scratch or scuff on the cover, an inscription inside, sticker residue, slightly worn or bent corners. Most often these copies have a flaw on the exterior cover but the interior pages of the book are in mint condition.
Good - This is a book that looks well-loved and might have one or more of the following: well-read pages, a bent cover, shelf wear, minor foxing or otherwise vintage aging, minor markings inside, small rips on a few pages inside, worn out looking and/or ripped dust jacket. Note that larger rips on a dust jacket or inside pages are repaired* by us.
Discarded Library Copy - This is a book that was in library circulation at some point and might have one or more of the following: library stamps inside, dewey decimal system stickers on the exterior spine, mylar wrap around the dust jacket, library book pocket glued inside, severely worn pages (although not always).
Fair - This is a book that is severely worn but considered so special and/or rare as to still warrant being sold. It could have one or more of the following: a repaired* split seam on the exterior or interior cover, severe foxing or otherwise vintage aging, severely worn cover and/or dust jacket.
*Note that all repairs made by us have been done using quality book-binding, acid-free materials.

All books sourced are used and therefore can come with flaws. We do our best to check all books thoroughly so that we can describe a book's condition accurately but things could be missed now and then.
