Long ago, Indian peoples discovered the Nashua River. Later they settled on its banks and lived in harmony with nature. In the 1600s, English colonists with a different view towards nature settled there. At the start of the twentieth century, an industrial revolution began decades of pollution that destroyed the river – until an ambitious cleanup campaign was launched.
