A beautiful collection of animal illustrations by celebrated Czech artist Mirko Hanák.
With delicate watercolor washes, expressive lines, and a remarkable sensitivity to the natural world, Hanák captures the character, movement, and quiet beauty of animals in his distinctive artistic style.
Published in 1972, this first volume of Animals We Love is a lovely example of vintage Eastern European children's book illustration—a little treasure for animal lovers, artists, and admirers of beautifully illustrated books.
