Mouky is mad at his brother. He wanders along the streets and alleys, wondering how he can get even. "I got a right to be angry," he tells himself.
But then Mouky remembers what his mama once told him about anger. "Don't let the sun go down and you be staying angry at someone," she said.
As the afternoon slips by, Mouky searches for a way to keep the sun from going down. He gets no help from anyone, until the setting sun gives Mouky a special job to do.
How mouky works out his anger and finds a way to come home makes a moving and reassuring parable, glowingly illustrated with the author's own bold, two-color block prints.
