Hendrika the cow has spent her whole life on a quiet Dutch farm, but she dreams of seeing the city. One unexpected tumble into a canal finally gives her the chance, sending her floating toward Amsterdam and into a wonderfully unlikely adventure.
Phyllis Krasilovsky’s charming story is filled with Peter Spier’s detailed illustrations of canals, boats, farms, and bustling Dutch life. This vintage Dutch-language edition is a particularly lovely way to experience a classic picture book.
