Georgie, the gentle little ghost, joins Mr. and Mrs. Whittaker on a seaside vacation along with Herman the cat and Miss Oliver the owl. At their vacation house they meet Captain Hooper, a noisy old ghost who is unhappy because he has never earned a medal. When a foggy night puts the Whittakers in danger, Georgie helps Captain Hooper find a way to be useful and earn the recognition he has always wanted.
