Georgie – a shy and gentle little ghost – here finds himself being urged by his friends, Herman the cat and Miss Oliver the owl, as well as by the many mice who share his attic, to enter the village Halloween costume contest. But although he is a "natural," Georgie is too shy to really make himself known, although the children on the Village Green recognize him, as he runs (floats?) away...
