In 1977, three thousand copies of this book were printed under cover of darkness and distributed via the bicycle and backpack system in Palo Alto, CA. The Founders' original plan was to sell them all, collect the proceeds, purchase an island (small) and retire for life.

This plan failed. Now, 30+ years later, we still create phenomenal books, still having fun, but we are still lookiing for an island (small).

Over the years we have received thousands of letters from people who tell us their lives have been enriched, enlarged, enlived and occasionally endangered by this book and the skill it teaches. We treasure this knowledge and have come to believe the world is just a tiny bit sillier because of this little book. We couldn't be prouder.

The book removes competition and frustration by breaking the juggling learning process down into approachable stages: 

1. The Drop: Throwing the objects into the air and letting them fall to learn that dropping is part of the process.
2. The Toss: Practicing single-object arcs from hand to hand.
3. The Exchange: Moving to multi-object patterns

Comes complete with 3 x 1-3/4" wool balls to juggle with (not the original balls the book came with).
