Clever Rabbit has discovered something wonderful: a tree filled with delicious honey. There’s just one problem—the tree belongs to mighty Lion. With the help of Bush-rat and Turtle, quick-thinking Rabbit devises one trick after another to outwit the powerful king of the forest.
Verna Aardema retells this lively traditional Swahili trickster tale with rich, expressive watercolor illustrations by Jerry Pinkney. A beautifully illustrated story of wit triumphing over strength.
