Rupert and the Magic Whistle (#9 Rupert Little Bear Library)

Rupert and the Magic Whistle is a specific Rupert Bear story by the original author, Mary Tourtel, that first appeared as a series of 70 single-panel instalments in The Daily Express newspaper from February to April 1930. It was later published in book form, notably as No. 9 in the Rupert Little Bear Library series, which was a collection of books produced for Woolworths. The story involves Rupert, a little bear who lives near Nutwood village, and a dangerous adventure with a whistling fish that has been "fishnapped" by sharks.
