Pinkerton's young owner has to identify different birds and mammals for a homework assignment. So she and her mother set off for a walk in the woods with their Great Dane, Pinkerton, and their cat, Rose. There they run into a group from the Hunting Academy, out in search of the noble fox. The craziness begins when the hunters mistake Rose for a fox and charge after her. And how will Pinkerton be able to help when he is drifting overhead in a hot air balloon?
