The Church Mouse

The church was an Ideal Home for a mouse like Arthur, and even for a cat like Sampson who "had listened to so many sermons about the meek being blessed and everybody really being brothers that he had grown quite frighteningly meet and treated Arthur just like a "brother." But... it had to be confessed there were times when Arthur felt lonely. Then he had his idea, and not being a mouse to let grass grow under his feet, put it into effect (with the permission of the vicar). What happened then (Total Success, Dreadful Dream, Debacle, Disgrace, Threatened Exile, Something very fishy going on, Presence of Mind, Notable Rescue, Happy ever after) is told with a decorum that covers a host of jokes and comic touches both in words and (even more) in deliciously-detailed spirited pictures.
