In this story, two witches who prey on lost travelers at their inn are banished by a student of the holy cabala. Using a piece of magic chalk, the student traps the evil spirits in a chalk circle until they swear to leave forever. He also rescues three captive girls and ensures the inn becomes a place of learning rather than evil.
