The Gnome from Nome (Serendipity)

Alappuu is so deeply frozen from the icy North Pole that his ears are frosty pink and his nose is bright blue. Frustrated, he packs his belongings (including his icicle toothbrush and magic paint set) and journeys to Nome, Alaska, in search of warmth.

He tries to get warm by stomping, shouting, and even building fires, but nothing works. Despondent, Alappuu breaks down into tears of frozen ice. It is only when he befriends a sea otter—who offers him companionship and a warm hug—that he learns warmth doesn't come from external heat, but from within through love and connection.
