The Hit of the Party

The day had finally come. Jim was going to wear his rooster costume–and be the hit of the party. But first he had to feed his hamster Cheeks. And Cheeks had disappeared!

Jim and his sister Kate searched everywhere. They did not find Cheeks, but they found the tail feathers from Jim's costume. And in the heap of feathers they found something else. Jim did not wear a rooster costume that afternoon, but there was no question that he and Kate were the hits of the party.
