Kirkus Review 08/01/1966: Fuzzy was a small bear with a large appetite and a singleminded interest in picnics. Any picnic was to his taste–a flower picnic, an ant picnic, a strawberry picnic, and especially big ones like the people's picnic–but eventually he found that the bears' own picnic of honey was best of all. The anthropomorphism doesn't impinge on the story, and the easy moral isn't overbearing. It's a slight but a simple pleasure for pre-schoolers from a name that goes well.
